Hello, Friend! Jesus is calling you to become part of His family. He loves you so much that He died on a cross to take away your sins. Not only that, He is our advocate with the Father. That means, if any man sins, Jesus Christ the righteous is at the right hand of God the Father, propitiating on your behalf. What love!
God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were sinners, Jesus Christ died for us. The Bible declares that we love Jesus because he FIRST loved us. God expressed His love for us by sending His only Son to die for our sins, and He wants us to love Him in return.
The Bible tells us in 1 John chapter 2 that the way we love God is by keeping His Word or by keeping His commandments. And His commandments are not grievous. They are actually for our good. Think about it: What sin is without negative consequence? Sure, there is a little pleasure for a moment, but eventually it all leads to heartbreak and emptiness inside. God wants to fill that emptiness with His Holy Spirit and give you His peace that passes all understanding.
Don't love the world or the things in it. All that is in the world is the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Those things lead to destruction, and they are not of God. Jesus is calling you away from the world and into His everlasting Kingdom. Will you answer the call?
