Beliefs

We believe in the universal and local church which is the body of our Lord Jesus Christ. The universal church consists of every born-again believer in Jesus Christ. The local church is made up of a community of believers who, together, worship Jesus Christ, according to His Scripture as well as edify, comfort, and exhort one another in love. Jesus Christ is the head over everything that pertains to the church. (Romans 12:5; Hebrews 10:25; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; 1 Corinthians 14:3; Eph 1:22-23)

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God—the only infallible, authoritative rule of Faith. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21)

We believe there is one God eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:29; John 10:30; Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 John 5:7)

1. We believe in the deity of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father conceived of the Holy Ghost. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven, mediation for man, and promised return to earth. (Luke 1:26-35; Luke 2:7; John 3:16; Matthew 27:50-53; Matthew 28; Mark 16:19; John 14:2-3; Matthew 26:64; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Timothy 2:5)

1. We believe the Holy Ghost is a gift from God to man, and He is essential to living a Christian life. (Acts 2:38; Romans 8:11-17; Galatians 5:16)

1. We believe God created all things including man, who was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:1, 26-28).
2. We believe Man had fellowship with God until man’s disobedience (sin) to God severed that fellowship. Subsequently, everyone is born into sin and separated from God by sin. (Genesis 1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Ephesians 2:1-3)

1. We believe the fellowship between God and man is only repaired by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, everyone must make the choice to repent for their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, to be born again as a child of God. (Genesis 2:17; 3:1-4; Titus 2:11; Romans 10:13-15; Romans 5:12-21; II Peter 3:9; Titus 3:5-7)
2. We believe that those who accept Jesus Christ as Lord will live a holy life. When someone accepts Jesus as Lord of their life, God empowers him with the Holy Ghost, enabling the believer to be holy in all manner of life. (I Peter 1:15; 1 John 2:6; John 14:26; Titus 3:5-7)

1. We believe in water baptism by immersion. “For we are buried with Him by baptism into death, that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father so we also should walk in newness of life in Him.” (Romans 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
2. We believe in keeping the Lord’s Supper. The elements are a symbol of Jesus’ New Covenant as we await Christ’s return. (Luke 22:19-21; 1 Cor 11:26)

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to every man to profit withal. (Ephesians 4:7-13; Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46; 1 Corinthians 12)

We believe in the New Heaven and New Earth where the righteous will spend eternal life with Jesus. (Revelations 21; Matthew 25; 1 Corinthians 15:51-54)

We believe hell is a real place created for Satan and his angels; and they, along with the beast and the false prophet and whosoever is not found written in the Lambs Book of Life shall be cast alive into a lake of fire, burning with brimstone, which is the second death. (Matthew 25:42; Revelation 19:20; 20: 14-15; 21:8)

We believe in the sanctity of marriage that it is between one man and one woman for life as ordained by God (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 5:32, 19:4-5)
